Global Head – Wholesale Payments & Trade Strategy, Swift SC

Mr. Shirish Wadivkar is the Global Head of Transaction Management Products at Swift. His team is charged with the mission to standardise, orchestrate, and track transactions end-to-end, on and off the Swift eco-system. His responsibilities include shaping the future of the Swift network by building bridges to new networks, newer exchanges of value, providing greater network optionality for the community. Transaction Management is core to industry's drive for the adoption of ISO 20022 and the widely adopted Swift gpi suite of products.

Mr. Wadvikar represents Swift in the ICC Digital Standards Initiative Industry Advisory Board, focused on driving digitisation of cross border trade.

Mr. Wadivkar has 25 years' experience with managing global product portfolios of payments, clearing, trade finance; across retail, corporate and institutional client segments; working in Asia Middle-east and Sub-Saharan Africa. Before joining Swift in 2022, he was Managing Director, Global Head – Payments for Standard Chartered Bank, an enterprise-wide role covering all Payments franchises.
