Mr. Sanjay Rudra is a seasoned banking professional with over three decades of experience across various domains within the banking sector. He assumed the role of Executive Director at Union Bank of India in October 2023.

Prior to his tenure at Union Bank of India, Mr. Rudra served as the General Manager and Chief Risk Officer at Bank of Maharashtra, where he played a pivotal role in steering the bank's risk management strategies. During his time at Bank of Maharashtra, he oversaw diverse areas such as Credit, Priority Banking, MSME, and the Integrated Risk Department. Additionally, he led the Learning and Development Vertical and spearheaded the Development Testing of Digital Lending initiatives. Mr. Rudra also played a crucial role in the bank's turnaround efforts. His contributions extend beyond the banking sector, as he has also served as a Director on the Board of the Maharashtra Executor and Trustee Company Private Ltd., a subsidiary of Bank of Maharashtra.

 Mr. Rudra holds a Postgraduate degree in Physics and a Diploma in Financial Management from Welingkar Institute. He is also an associate member of the Indian Institute of Banking and Finance (IIBF). He has also participated in leadership development programs conducted by the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) in collaboration with the Financial Services Institute of Bangalore (FSIB) and has completed the Global Advanced Management Program offered by the Indian School of Business (ISB) Hyderabad offered in partnership with the Kellogg School of Management, USA.
