G. Unnikrishnan is a senior banking professional with over three decades of experience in credit, international banking, and branch management. He holds an M.Sc. and an M.B.A. (Banking & Finance) and is a Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers (CAIIB). He has also completed the Certificate in Commercial Credit from Moody’s Analytics and a Certification Programme in IT and Cyber Security for Senior Management from IDRBT.

In a career spanning diverse geographies and functions, he has held significant leadership assignments including Assistant General Manager at Faridabad and Chennai (Usman Road), Principal at Staff Training College Chennai, Deputy General Manager at Large Corporate Branch Chennai & Field General Manager Office Mumbai and Zonal Manager at Madurai. He was elevated to General Manager at Head Office in June 2024 and currently heads the Foreign Business Department, Treasury Back Office and Domestic Subsidiaries Management Division of the Bank.

He also has substantial international banking exposure of over three years, having headed the Bank’s Birmingham branch in the United Kingdom.
