Industry maven Arundhati Bhattacharya has been conferred with the prestigious Padma Shri award by the Indian government, recognising her exceptional contributions to the fields of trade and industry.

Currently serving as the Chairperson and CEO of Salesforce India, Arundhati Bhattacharya has had an storied career. Before joining Salesforce in 2020, she made headlines as the Chairperson of the State Bank of India, a position she held until her retirement in 2017.

She has also been a member of the board of directors at Reliance Industries since 2018, a role she continues to hold.

“I am deeply humbled to receive the Padma Shri award, one of India’s most esteemed recognitions. This honor reflects the incredible opportunities I’ve had to contribute to India’s trade and industry.
